• Bus transfer from the town to the point where the slope to the island begins.

• At the hermitage a guide will take yo to an interesting tour so you will discover all the secrets of this emblematic islet: the history of Bermeo, its seafaring tradition, the Battle of Matxitxako and other history and traditions of San Juan de Gaztelugatxe as well as its cultural value.

• The picking up points are located in La Lamera Park, city center of Bermeo, and the dissuasive parking of Itxas Ganes.

• The visit includes transportation (round trip) and the entrance ticket to San Juan de Gaztelugatxe.

Our visit “3 Steps to Gaztelugatxe” includes the obligatory access ticket to San Juan de Gaztelugatxe. If you alredy have this ticket, do not worry, as you can still book our visit.

San Juan de Gaztelugatxe belongs to Bermeo, a charmy fishermen town 11km away. That is why, in order to get to this “wonder of nature” islet, you need to do take a car or a bus

“3 steps to Gaztelugatxe” saves you entrance and parking complicatios, so you could focus on enjoying the visit.

The waking leg to the hermitage of San Juan is 1.250m length; including the  241-step staircase.

We recommend you tou wear confortable clothing and footwear.

This visit is not recomendable to people with walking difficulties.

Do not carrying children push-chairs or buggies.

HOW TO GET THERE

Getting to Bermeo is very easy by public transport. You can choose between taking the bus or the train, as both stop at La Lamera, the starting point of our tour if you buy transport included option.

If you prefer to come by car, you can park at the Itxas Gane dissuasive parking, located next to the cementery and the football camp of Bermeo. It has 353 spaces.
